| Welcome to Mrs. Taylor's Class Website! |
Students are assigned homework on a nightly basis. The homework is something we have worked on in class and is designed to provide them with additional practice. The students are given time at the end of each class to write down their homework in their agenda. Although assignments will change there are two assignments that your child will have every week.
The first assignment is READING. As a seventh grader at JFK your child is required to read and pass 9 books per trimester. These books are selected by the student and are within a level that is appropriate for them. This goal is very attainable for every student.
The second assignment is ROOT WORDS. Each week we discuss a new root word. On Monday the word is introduced and your student is given an assignment to help them practice using that root word. This assignment is due every Friday.
Often you will also see some type of WRITING assignment as well as SOCIAL STUDIES.
